aWesome – amaZing – INcredible - three words to describe the recent event called Genesis 09 held @ 180 Remix. The crowd was – HUGE. I will upload some pics for you to experience a taste of what took place.
I arrived early Friday morning to get started & plan out what needed to done concerning video presentation. Recently we have added a iMac using ProProsenter to display Worship along with Keynote for message notes. These are dynamic resources tools of ministry. They do make a difference. There was a lot of testing of videos, checking song playlists, creating Keynote slides for speakers. WOW – I was loving it. I love doing ministry stuff – its my passion – it burns deep within me. I arrived @ 7:30am – time to pray & prepare for the 1st night – doors open @ 6:30pm. That’s 11 hours to think through everything – work through everything – verify & make sure the tech team was ready for live production @ 6:30pm.
My 1st Genesis 09 moment – began when I was praying after I arrived. The Holy Spirit spoke to me this – “your expections will become results”. WOW – I was not expecting that. It still amaZes me how God functions & operates. He is the God of the unexpected. Just like it is written – “His ways are Higher than our ways”. One the word came to me from the Holy Spirit – I wept. Wasn’t planning on it – just happened. AmaZing God – our loving savior – his aWesomeness is endlessness like the stars in the skies above or the sand along the beach of a distant ocean. My heart cries out for God – to speak to me more – from His heart to my heart – personal confidential just for me.
I had to leave before 11am to take my daughter Kortni to the dentist. She lost a filling so it had to be replaced. She is such a trooper – he handles the dentist well – I love her so MUCH – I could type for hours my love & feelings I have for Kortni. She is so gifted – so people loving & caring – just like my Mom whose middle name she has. Kinda getting teary eyed now – stop it – LOL. After the dentist (by the way our dentist is an unashamed Christian – scriptures on the wall of every office – he’s a good one) we went by the State Trooper office for Kortni to take her driver’s permit. Ooops – we had the wrong info, needed a certain form from school. We will take her back soon. Arrived back @ 180 to go through the schedule for the first night- checking & double checking. This Genesis 09 event was expected to be bigger in areas of attendence, depth of speakers, lighting, technology & it proved to be just that. It was amaZing to experience it – to be part of this God event. The energy levels were high – adrenaline was present in massive quantities. Have you been in a room filled with Red Bull? That’s what it was like just hours before the doors opened @ 6:30pm.
Genesis 09 1st night worship – was everything we wanted – hoped for and expected. You had to surrender to worship – you just had to. The presence of God was thick – you were forced to lift your hands in surrender – a selfless sacrifice of praise. The music – song choice – lights – a sea of hands lifted as if saying – give me more God – move me closer to you – that’s what I want – that’s all I want right now – a moment with you – a Genesis 09 moment.
Ready for Genesis 09 day 2 – it starts @ 6:30am – I arrive 1 hour earlier – hungry for the move of God – ready for the move of God – God’s movement began yesterday & I want more today. Once again through my obedience – the Holy Spirit spoke a word to me – “the veil will be lifted”. He told me this means different things t0 different people. Then I received a word for one of the band members. A word to encourage & a word that meant nothing to me – but was intended also as correction. God through his Holy Spirit will & does correct us at times. It’s all about love – through love He disciplines us. Wisdom told me to share this with the person in authority over him. I did – he bore witness with the word. Later that morning I shared the word with the band member. I had to – you have to be obedient to the Holy Spirit – it’s just the right thing to do.
Genesis 09 – have to say WOW again – MOVEMENT - yeah – incredible movement of God. The presence of God was evident – seeded with prayer – desired by all.
